Amado

Another part of the morning routine is opening all the "amado". These are clattering great metal shutters that cover most of the windows of the house at night. To keep the burglars and typhoons out, I think.

Today, I will mostly be digging holes.

Amado used to be made of wood. Things have become so much easier now that they are made of light metal. Wodden Amados were a bit of nightmare to deal with. They were heavy and tended to expand on a wet day.

Think that wall is low enough to jump - no need to dig an escape tunnel!

But there are dogs and an electric fence beyond the wall. We are tunnelling at night and putting the vaulting horse over it in the day.

From who(what) do you escape,
and why?

From the gomi (rubbish) police of course!

Oh, that reminded me. Did you put out pla-cle?

purakuru? Yes.

The question is: what category of rubbish is a toenail? I put it in purakuru! A rebellion against the system! I am not a gomi categoriser, I am a free man!

Oh no! That must be the Gomi police at the front door!

toe nail is burnable. I think. But when you think about it, you can burn pla-cle too.
