Revised mountain

My second box of kanji cards arrived today. Here, then, is the revised mountain picture. The total in this shot is 1,000 kanji. Double the pile on the left and add a few more and you have the true scale of the task. Scary.

Iyi calismalar! (a Turkish phrase for those working hard)

Thanks ET for the Turkish encouragement. I am sure you'll excuse me if the start of my Turkish studies is postponed while this temporary Japanese difficulty is sorted out!

I'm getting a sense of deja vu here - something to do with shorthand

Shorthand was a small hill but difficult to get to the top of because you had to learn some climbing techniques. Kanji is more like bloody Everest, although a lot more interesting than shorthand to try to climb.

Perhaps we should post you an ice pick in that case
